Full Bike Registration InformationGetting you on the roadBefore you can ride your new electric scooter on public roads it needs to be registered with the DVLA and have a number plate fitted plus a tax disc holder and tax disc.Both of which would have to be bought by yourself (tax disc holder and number plate) You would need to get the following together:
You would need to take these to the DVLA along with the Certificate of conformity, and your invoice for the scooter. Along with that you would have a lot of forms to fill in, declaration of newness, C&E 389, V55/5 first registration form. And pay £55.00 which is a standard charge. After approx 10 days you will receive your Log book, as long as everything was in order and correct, (if not the whole process has to be repeated). Then you would need to purchase your number plate: £17.50 Also your tax disc holder: £17.50 Registration fee: £55.00 TOTAL: £90.00 Elecscoot can do all of this for you, for a nominal fee of £100.00. Our charge in that fee is only £10.00 for administration. If you opt for Elecscoot to do the registration for you the Scooter would be delivered to you and have the number plate and tax disc already fitted and “ready to go”.
